Lectures on priority areas of Turkmen diplomacy at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
On April 25, 2019, lectures were given to the listeners of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Turkmenistan in the Center for Transport, Energy and Water Diplomacy of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The lectures were delivered by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of Turkmenistan as well as by the representatives of the teaching staff of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Academy of State Service under the President of Turkmenistan.
During the lectures, participants were introduced to key aspects of energy, transport and water diplomacy, which currently occupy an important place in the foreign policy agenda of Turkmenistan.
The initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan were noted, on the basis of which resolutions of the UN General Assembly on stable and reliable energy supplies to international markets were adopted. Most of the lectures were devoted to international transport logistics, as well as the creation of a transport infrastructure in the country, which is an important factor for economic and social development.
Also, students were familiarized with the aspects of environmental safety. In this regard, the activities of Turkmenistan under the chairmanship of the International Fund for the Saving the Aral Sea were particularly emphasized.
