Consular legalization is the official procedure that certifies the authenticity of a public official’s signature and the seal of a public entity from a foreign state. The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Brussels is accredited to handle the legalization of documents originating from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Only documents from these countries may be submitted for legalization at the Consular Section of the Embassy.
Certification Requirements
Before submitting documents for consular legalization at the Embassy, they must first be certified by the relevant authorities in the respective country of origin:

Important Notice
The Embassy does not accept digital or electronic legalizations. Only original documents will be processed.

Submission & Collection of Documents
Documents must be submitted and collected in person from the Consular Section of the Embassy of Turkmenistan. Appointments can be arranged via email at: Turkmenistan@skynet.be
Important: The Embassy does not accept documents by mail, nor documents left in the post box. The Embassy is not responsible for any documents lost in the mail or left unattended in the post box.
The legalization of documents, which have been issued by the governmental organizations of Turkmenistan (diplomas, birth certificates etc.) is fulfilled upon condition of available stamp of Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan and Consular Department of MFA of Turkmenistan.
