Completion of the regular working meeting of authorized representatives of Caspian states at the MFA of Turkmenistan
On the 26th of February 2019, the fourth meeting of the authorized representatives of Caspian states on negotiating the Draft of the Protocol on cooperation in the field of combatting illegal extraction of biological resources (poaching) in the Caspian Sea has come to an end at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Participants of the meeting, authorized representatives of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Iran and Russia thoroughly discussed of the draft Protocol, entered appropriate modifications and recommendations. This document is being developed in accordance with the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea, which was signed by the Presidents of five Caspian states in August last year. It is necessary to note that lately significant agreements are attained in the framework of cooperation between Caspian states in active participation of Turkmenistan.
The participants of the meeting noted the high level of organization of current session by Turkmen side and expressed their gratitude for joint productive work.
