A VIDEOCONFERENCE WAS HELD AT THE INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS OF MFA OF TURKMENISTAN IN PARTICIPATION OF THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE ENERGY CHARTER

  On May 4, 2020, the Secretary General of the Energy Charter Dr.Urban Rusnák delivered a lecture through videoconferencing at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

 The lecture that focused on the activities of the Energy Charter and its cooperation with Turkmenistan was attended by the students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the International University of Humanities and Development.

   During the session, Dr. Urban Rusnák spoke about the origins of effective relations between the Energy Charter and Turkmenistan, including active participation of our country in the work of this organization. The special efforts of Turkmenistan, as a permanent neutral country, in the establishment of equal and fair worldwide relations in different spheres were also highlighted. The role of major international energy organizations particularly that of the Energy Charter was highlighted in the process of implementing the initiatives in the framework of the energy diplomacy set by the President of Turkmenistan.

  During the videoconference, a question and answer session was held during which Dr. Urban Rusnák spoke with students about the important role of Turkmenistan in the energy cooperation, including its initiatives aimed at ensuring energy security as a permanently neutral country recognized by the United Nations.  The issue of future energy consumption in the world was also touched upon.
