The National Leader of the Turkmen people was awarded the Badge of Honour of the Heads of State of Central Asia
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in Dushanbe on a working visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, was awarded the Badge of Honor of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
The award ceremony took place at the «Kasri Millat» Palace; the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon presented the award to the Hero-Arkadag to the applause of those gathered in a solemn atmosphere.
Addressing the leaders of friendly countries, The National Leader expressed sincere gratitude for presenting him with this high award within the framework of international events taking place in the capital of Tajikistan. As Chairman Halk Maslahaty noted, he regards this honourary award as a symbol of deep respect for the Turkmen people, recognition of Turkmenistan’s contribution to strengthening good-neighbourly, fraternal relations between the states of Central Asia, and support for the policy of neutrality implemented by our country, aimed at ensuring peace and security in the region.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed firm confidence that the decisions made following the negotiations held in Dushanbe will be an important step in strengthening friendly relations between fraternal countries and peoples, as well as in preserving our unity.
