THE DELEGATION OF TURKMENISTAN TOOK PART IN THE II CASPIAN ECONOMIC FORUM
On October 6, 2022, in Moscow, the Turkmen delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov took part in the Second Caspian Economic Forum.
Within the framework of the plenary session of the Forum were discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation between the Caspian countries in such areas as energy, trade and investment, transport and logistics, green economy and sustainable development, entrepreneurship, science and innovation, counteraction to adverse sanitary and epidemiological situations.
During the discussions was noted the importance of the First Caspian Economic Forum held in 2019 in Turkmenistan.
On the margins of the Forum were organized a number of thematic platforms and round tables, which allowed colleagues from the relevant state agencies of the Caspian countries to exchange views on topical issues of regional economic development. The role of economic ties as a factor in strengthening security and stability in the region was especially noted, and the need to strengthen the legal foundations for cooperation in the Caspian Sea was emphasized.
During the Forum was also held a "Business Caspian" meeting of the International Council for Business Cooperation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Caspian states.
