Ambassador Sapar Palvanov visits Damen Shipyards headquarters in the Netherlands

Ambassador of Turkmenistan Sapar Palvanov visited the headquarters of Damen Shipyards, one of the world’s leading companies in the field of shipbuilding.

During the visit, the Ambassador held a meeting with the company’s management and toured the production site, where modern vessels of various types are being built.

The discussions focused on prospects for expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and Damen Shipyards, including the possibility of joint vessel construction at the shipbuilding facility of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport.

Particular attention was given to further cooperation in the field of dredging. It was noted that Damen Shipyards has solid practical expertise in this area and already has positive experience of working with Turkmenistan.

Ambassador Palvanov underlined that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development of maritime infrastructure, the modernization of port facilities and the strengthening of transport and logistics connectivity. In this context, cooperation with leading Dutch companies is viewed as an important opportunity to attract advanced international expertise, modern technologies and investment.

The Ambassador also informed the company about Turkmenistan’s intention to organize business events that will bring together senior representatives of major Dutch companies interested in the Turkmen market. Damen Shipyards was invited to actively participate in this initiative.

They confirmed their mutual interest in continuing the dialogue and expanding practical cooperation in shipbuilding, port infrastructure and maritime technologies.
