Meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Sapar Palvanov and Luc Devigne, Deputy Executive Director of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate, EEAS
Turkmen Ambassador Sapar Palvanov met with Luc Devigne, Deputy Executive Director of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate at the European External Action Service (EEAS). The discussions focused on the existing platforms for bilateral cooperation between the EU and Turkmenistan, as well as the organization of upcoming dialogues in Brussels and Ashgabat.
A central topic of the meeting was the planning of the EU-Turkmenistan Joint Committee session in Brussels this year. Additionally, the organization of a special Turkmen mission to Brussels in the field of education was discussed.
The meeting also addressed interregional cooperation between the EU and Central Asia, highlighting the current dynamism and intensity of engagement. Turkmenistan's significant role in this context was emphasized, particularly concerning upcoming events in the transport sector.
Furthermore, plans for organizing high-level meetings in Turkmenistan were discussed, including ministerial meetings on transport and foreign affairs in the EU-Central Asia format.
